International biennale of art enamel “White night’s images”. St. Petersburg, 2010

Time and important dates:

June, 7-8^th - exposition installation (see Appendix 2)

June, 9^th - jury session 

June, 10^th - grand opening of the exposition and announcement of the results of jury’s work, awards (see Appendix 3) 

June, 11^th - workshop, roundtable

June, 10^th - July, 3d - exposition of the biennale participants in the Museum of Applied Arts of Saint-Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design named after Shtiglits

July, 4^th – dismantling of the exposition (see Appendix 4) 

July, 15^th – August, 15^th – exposition of the biennale participants in the halls of the Russian Academy of Arts in Moscow (see Appendix 1)

Biennale’s theme:

«White night’s images» (see Appendix 6)

Requirements for presented works:

Participants present not more than 3 works on the theme of the biennale in the technique of hot enameling on copper or steel with the size of up to 70 cm at the bigger side (see Appendix 5)

The works assessed by the jury.

Biennale’s exposition content.

The organizational committee determines the compliance of the presented works with the requirements and retains the right to decline the works, which in their opinion, do not comply with the artistic level or the declared conditions.

We plan on exposing the following categories of works: contest, out-of-contest works (which do not participate in the contest program) and the works of special guests.

The jury assesses only the contest works.  

Organizational fee

5000 RUR - for Russian artists

150 Euro   - for foreign artists

Organizational fee is paid upon arrival to the organizational committee on the day of exposition’s installation (see Appendix 7).

Exposition participant sends the organizational committee per spb@hotenamel.com deadline - May, 15^th   2010.

3.  The author’s picture for publishing in the catalogue in the electronic form (300 dpi, JPG, size (height) of the picture is 6 cm and more)

4.  Photos of the works, that the artist is planning to present at the biennale’s exposition (standard format used for email messages)

Participants’ donations

Participants donate to organizational committee “signature piece”: work performed in the hot enameling technique (plate 15 x 15 cm) with the theme decoration «White nights’ images» and author’s signature (additionally see Appendix 8)

Exhibition catalogue

2 editions are planned – informational survey booklet and Biennale’s Exposition Catalogue.

Every participant gets a booklet and 2 copies of the Catalogue for free.

In the catalogue together with the participants’ works it is planned to reflect the results of the jury’s work and a report from the Biennale’s events. (grand opening, workshop, etc.)

The shooting of the works for catalogue will be done after the exposition’s installation.

The organizational commitee will do their best to ensure that the catalogue is published within the period when the exposition is still in the Museum of Applied Arts of Saint-Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design named after Shtiglits.

Informational support

We publish and print: informational survey booklet, Biennale Catalogue, event posters, invitations, diplomas.

Information (press-release), reviews, article are publisheds: in the core publications and media (including «Arts Dialogue», «Metal World», etc.), on the websites in the Internet. Etc.
