Notes and explanations:
1.
Participation in exhibition in Moscow – is not a necessary condition for biennale exponents and is determined by the artists themselves– basing on the following assumptions and conditions:
- Ability to take the works by yourself from the representative of the organizational committee in Moscow after the dismantling of the exposition within 10 days (or during the dismantling)
- Shipment of the exhibited pieces of lesser size (up to 40 x 40 cm) is done in the exceptional cases upon the prior agreement with the organizational representative.
The delivery of participants’ pieces from St. Petersburg to Moscow is organized by the organizational committee without any additional fee for participants.
2. For Russian participants:
The artists, planning to participate in exposition, send the application form to the organizational committee (the form can be found on the website).
The declared works are delivered to the place of exhibition by participants themselves not later than 5 p.m. June, 7th, 2010.
For foreign participants:
Upon the request of a participant, after the application form is sent to the committee, organizational committee sends out an invitation letter to the address of the artist for participation in the biennale.
(Application form can be found at www.hotenamel.com)
Note! Unfortunately, the organizational committee is unable to engage in the transportation or shipping of the exponents, as well as regulating the customs issues. Considering these conditions – the participants bring and take their works by themselves, which significantly simplifies the transfer and processing the customs formalities. Please, consult the competent agencies about these matters.
Our partner in St. Petersburg - BBF company can assist to arrange your visit to our city: to issue an invitation for tourist visa, pick and book accommodation, organize cultural program. More detailed information on this matter you can find on our website - www.hotenamel.com/ or on BBF website http://en.bifor.ru/6/
The declared works are delivered to the place of exhibition by participants themselves not later than 5 p.m. June, 7th, 2010
3.The awarding of the participants with the award and diploma ceremony will take place in the Ante-room of the Museum of Applied Arts of Saint-Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design named after Shtiglits on June, 10th, 2010 at 4 p.m. at the Grand Opening of International Biennale of Enamel Art “White nights’ images” at the address 191028, Saint-Petersburg, Solyanoy per., 13/15.
4.
For Russian participants:
- The artists who cannot take part in Moscow exhibition take away their works during the dismantling in the halls of the Museum by themselves (or by an authorized person upon agreement with the representative of the Committee. Safe storage of the dismantled works is possible only within 10 days after the dismantling, in this case a participant must notify the Committee about the collection date of his/her works.
For foreign participants:
- The artists who cannot leave their works until the end of the exhibition in the halls of the Museum take away their works on the day and time, specified with the Committee in advanced. The handing over of the works to the author is performed only by the representative of the Committee.
5.
Exposing of the works larger than 70 cm has to be discussed with the Committee.
6.
We came across the cases where we sometimes have to clarify some issues for foreign participants:
- by “White Nights” we mean White nights in St. Petersburg – symbol of our city, a time of the year when night lasts 1 or 2 hours. At this time in St. Petersburg we have various festivals and shows. The image of “White nights” is widely used in russian national art and literature.
Additional information can be received at http://wikipedia.org/ or other sources.
However, creative interpretation of the theme can, without doubt, have very wide creative scope.
7.
Organizational fee includes partly the compensation of the costs of organization and running the biennale, preparing the printing materials for publishing and other necessary costs.
Post money transfer or bank transfer is for exceptional cases only and the scheme of transfer has to be agreed with the Committee in advance.
8.
«Signature piece» of a participant - is not a necessary condition for participation in Biennale, it is more of a tradition of our project. The theme collections from our exhibitions (signature pieces) can be found for example in the Museum of St.Petersburg History, the Museum of Applied Arts of Saint-Petersburg State Academy of Art and Design named after Shtiglits, etc.
Please, note that the “signature piece” can be also performed by a participant at the workshop at the Academy during the biennale.
9.
